Well to start with, I have not got a cut in awhile, so the hair was a little over an inch all over. I went to the royal in NYC knowing that I wanted the sides tight, but not sure of the top. Well my reg. barber Danny was out but I could not wait till tomorrow so I went with another.

As he caped me asking what will it be I replied” I’m not sure about the top, but I want the sides tight". Well he started up the right side with a #2 and asked if that was tight enough? I told him "no, I want it really tight" he then redid the area with a #1, and continued that all over the sides and back. He then asked if that was tight enough?

Well it was the tightest I’ve been, but I didn't say anything as I rubbed the sides. He then said that he could go tighter, so I said "ok, do it!" as he was rebuzzing I was watching fuzz fall, I was AMAZED that it could go shorter. As he was doing this I said” you know, I’ve never had it so tight so high up. Maybe I should go for it shaved". He asked if I ever did that. I told him "no, but I’ve thought about getting a HnT, razor shaved." he said that he could do it if I wanted. So I told him "what the hell, do it!" well next thing I knew the clippers were buzzing what little was left!! and blending it towards the top.

Then he put some cream all around the sides and back, followed by a hot towel. Then the hot lather. Well I was so excited and nervous, but I figured there was no turning back! I might as well enjoy it, which I did!!! It was wild watching him (I was facing the mirror) as he 1st did an outline, then shaved down the sides and back. he then put some lotion all over and reshaved the entire area. So now I had shaved sides and back, with an inch on top. He asked what I wanted with the top, and I just said” what ever you think." he then went over the top, clipper over comb, leaving it 3/4s of an inch.
