Russ and Chip In The Park - Part Five by Russ

The next day Chip was at the gazebo first pacing anxiously when I got there. I haven't seen Jack or Dave, he said, have you? Not yet, I said. But even if they don't show, I can buzz your fringe and I reached out to rub not only his smooth top, but his rather long fringe. Well it has been a few months, Chip said, and my fringe does need a good buzz.. I'm keeping the top smooth with the epilator but for whatever reason, I never buzzed the fringe. He looked at me and said, it's enough that one of us lets his fringe grow.

Just then, Jack and Dave walked up to the gazebo. As we said hi, Dave got Jack in a headlock and gave him quite a long rub and ruffle saying one last time before it all gets cut off. Wait a minute Jack said, what do you mean, all gets cut off? Chip may want a bald look but I want to keep enough hair on my head after this so I can't see the skin on the top of my head. Don't panic, I said, I understand you don't want a bald look. But, I continued, whatever we do will be a big change from that shaggy mess you're used to seeing in the mirror.

Chip took the clippers out of the bag, gave them to me and motioned for Jack to have a seat. The picnic table and bench were already pulled over by the pole with the electrical outlet. Jack sat down, closed his eyes and said just do it. So, I said, how short do you want it? A tight buzz all over? As I turned on the clippers a familiar voice said, do you know what you're doing? And there stood Jeff. Dave said, who are you?

He's Jeff, I answered, and we haven't seen him since the day I cut Chip's MPB. After I cut Chip's MPB, Chip cut a landing strip to the bone on Jeff and finished it off with a horseshoe. Jeff, where have you been? And what happened to your landing strip? Your hair doesn't seem to have any style anymore. That boxed and squared flattop you originally had looked incredible and the horseshoe with the landing strip cut to the bone could only be described as hot. Now you just seem in between. Call it lazy, Jeff answered. I decided to go back to the flattop and once the horseshoe and landing strip grew out a bit, instead of getting my hair cut, I just let it go. That's why I'm here today, thought I might run into you two. But what's this, four guys sharing haircuts and I assume head rubs knowing what Russ and Chip like to do?

Chip introduced Dave and Jack as Jack hesitatingly asked am I getting a haircut today or not? Jeff said, don't let me stop anything. Russ, what did you have in mind for Jack? I said we hadn't decided and were just going to start cutting and see what happens. That's no way to approach it Jeff said. How about I turn that mop of shaggy sandy brown hair into a boxed and squared flattop and then Russ, you can do the same to me? Jack asked, will I still have hair on the top of my head? I said, of course, and maybe enough to ruffle. I handed the clippers to Jeff, Jack closed his eyes and the buzzing began.

To Be Continued.
