Summer headshave part 2 by Vivan patil
Hello everyone So this is my second story. If you haven't read my first story yet 2023, please check it out first. I received lots of positive comments on my previous story, and honestly, after seeing all those comments, I decided to share my second experience too.
So here I am again.
This story happened one year later, during the summer of 2024.
And yes...
I became takla again I shaved my head completely bald again But this time, the decision was much more difficult.
I woke up one morning and looked at myself in the mirror. My hair had become long and messy again. I was wearing only shorts and a T-shirt, looking at my long hair and thinking about what I should do. I am a very hairy desi guy. I have dark hair on my legs, arms, chest and basically all over my body. So with my dark hair on my head and my naturally hairy body, everything was quite visible.
I kept looking at my hair.
And suddenly the thought came back "Should I become takla again?" Should I shave my head bald again? But this time I was really confused. This would be the second year in a row. I had already done it in 2023, and now I was thinking about doing it again. I started worrying about what people in my society would think.
Maybe they would say,
"Ye kya har baar hota rehta hai?" Why does this guy keep doing this every year?
I imagined people noticing me whenever I went outside.
1 Maybe they would stare.
2 Maybe they would laugh.
3 Maybe they would wonder why I kept shaving my head.
Honestly, I was getting scared.
I was thinking, "Karun ya nahi karun?" Should I do it or not? But at the same time, a part of me really wanted to do it. Just like the previous year, I decided to use the spin-the-wheel method. I was confused about whether I should do it, so I thought
"Chalo, wheel hi decide karega." Let's let the wheel decide.
I spin the wheel.
But even after getting the result, I wasn't completely sure.
I was still thinking about it. So I went to my mother and asked her what I should do. She simply said, "It's up to you." Tumhari marzi hai.
That didn't really help my confusion So I decided to make one final promise to myself.
I thought "Maa kasam, jo bhi final spin mein aayega, main wahi karunga." I swear on my mother, whatever comes in the final spin, I will do exactly that.
1 No changing my decision.
2 No backing out.
I spin the wheel one more time.
And the result came...
For a moment, I felt relieved.
But then I realized that "haircut" could mean anything. I could still get a normal haircut. So I thought about it again. Should I just get my hair trimmed? Or should I go all the way and become completely bald?
I decided to spin again.
And this time...
TAKLA. COMPLETELY BALD.
My heart started beating faster. Immediately, all the memories of 2023 came back to me. I had done it the previous year. And now, in 2024, I was standing in the same situation again. Talking to My Mother I started thinking about everyone's reactions. My sister, elder brother and the rest of my family were at home.
I slowly went to my mother again and asked her what I should do. She again said, "It's up to you." Tumhari marzi hai.But then she told me something important. She said, "Don't be shy about going outside. If there is household work, you will have to go yourself. We are not going to go for you." Bahar jaane mein sharmana mat. Ghar ka koi kaam hoga toh tumhe hi jaana padega, hum nahi jaayenge.
That actually made me think She was basically telling me that if I wanted to shave my head, I shouldn't hide afterwards.
I thought about it for a while.
Then I told myself
"Koi nahi. Jo sochna hai log sochein." It's okay. Let people think whatever they want.
"Main kisi aur ke liye nahi kar raha." I'm not doing this for anyone else.
"Mujhe jo karna hai, main karunga." I will do what I want to do.
That finally gave me some courage. This time, I didn't tell my mother exactly what I was going to do. I had taken a cap with me, but I didn't tell her that I was actually going to become bald. Nobody else in the family knew either.
I took my motorcycle and left. Going Back to the Barber Shop Just like the previous year, I went back to the same barber shop.
But when I reached there, the uncle who had cut my hair previously wasn't there. There was another man inside. The shop was completely empty. There were no customers. He was talking on his mobile phone.
After finishing his call, he put the phone down and looked at me.
He said, "Please come." Aao. I was still standing there, thinking about whether I should actually go through with it.
Then I asked him, "Are you new here?" Aap naye ho yahan? He replied, "No. I am the younger brother of the barber who used to work here."
Then he explained that his elder brother had passed away, and now he was managing the shop.
I suddenly felt very sorry. And at the same time, I started remembering the old barber uncle. He had been cutting my hair since I was a little child.
When I was very young, I wasn't even tall enough to sit properly in the barber chair. They used to put wooden boards on top of the chair and make me sit on them so I could reach the correct height.
That same barber had cut my hair when I was a little kid.
And now I was standing in the same shop again, about to shave my head completely bald.
It felt strange.
The barber put the white cloth around me.
Then he asked, "What do you want?" Kya karwana hai?
I took a deep breath. For a few seconds, I didn't answer.
Then I finally said,"Takla kar do." Shave my head completely bald.
He looked at me and asked, "Sure?" Pakka?
I said, "Yes." Haan.
This time, there was no going back.
He nodded. "Okay." Theek hai.
The Shaving Begins
He took a water bottle and started spraying water on my hair. He completely soaked my long hair. My messy hair became wet and started sticking together.i looked at myself in the mirror. I knew this was probably the last time I would see myself with all this hair. Then he prepared his razor. The moment I saw the razor, I got goosebumps. I knew what was coming. He started from the front right side of my head. The razor moved extremely fast and smoothly. One stroke. Then another. Hair started falling onto the white cloth. Within just a few minutes, the entire right side of my head was becoming bald.
I looked into the mirror. Half of my head still had long hair. The other half was completely shaved. I could see that there was no hair from the front of my head towards my ear. It looked so strange. I was literally watching myself become bald in the mirror. Then he moved towards the back right side.
Again, he worked very quickly. The razor kept moving over my scalp. Hair was falling everywhere.
Honestly, I started thinking
"Aisa lag raha tha jaise iske paas takla karne mein PhD hai" It felt like he had a PhD in shaving heads bald
He was incredibly fast and smooth.
While shaving, he asked me, "Choti rakhu?" Should I leave a small tuft of hair at the back?
I immediately remembered what my family had told me the previous year.
We are not Brahmins, and in my caste, boys generally don't keep a choti.
So this time I said, No Choti This Time "Nahi." No.
He said, "Theek hai." Okay.
And continued.
He completely shaved the back right side. Then he moved towards the back left side. Slowly, all the hair at the back disappeared. I could see the back of my head through the second mirror. There was no choti. Nothing. Just a completely shaved scalp. The Left Side
He sprayed some more water onto my remaining hair. Then he started working on the left front side. The remaining hair slowly disappeared under the razor. Stroke after stroke. Until finally... There was no hair left on my head. I looked into the mirror. I was completely bald.
Again. For the second year in a row. And this time, there wasn't even a small choti. Making It Completely Smooth The barber carefully checked my head.
There were still a few tiny hairs visible here and there. He started removing those small hairs one by one. He kept going over the scalp carefully until it looked completely clean. I kept watching myself in the mirror. The feeling was strange. I had been so worried before coming here. But now that it was done, I just kept looking at my bald reflection.
Then I remembered my facial hair. I had curly facial hair and a small goatee.
So I told him, "Please do it with foam." Foam laga ke shave karo.
He applied white shaving foam all over my face and head. Soon my entire face was covered in white foam. I looked like some kind of Santa Claus
I started laughing at myself. Then he took the razor again. He started shaving my curly goatee and the other facial hair. Slowly, everything disappeared.
But I wanted to keep my moustache. So after shaving my face, I told him, "Meri mooch set kar do." Please settrim my moustache properly.
Some of the moustache hairs were coming over my lips. He carefully trimmed and shaped them. After finishing my face, he applied fitkari alum all over my face and head. The moment the fitkari touched my freshly shaved skin, I felt a cold sensation. "Thanda thanda lag raha tha." It felt really cold.
Looking at the Hair on the Floor Finally, I stood up from the chair. I looked down at the floor. There was hair everywhere. My long dark hair that had been on my head that morning was now lying all over the barber shop floor. I looked at the mirror again. Completely bald.
Clean-shaven face. Moustache still there. No goatee. No choti.
Then I remembered something else. My underarm hair.
So I told him, "Mere armpit ke baal bhi shave kar do." Please shave my underarm hair too. I removed my shirt and stayed in my vest. all my chest hair is visible He shaved my underarm hair. After finishing, he told me, "Again visit karna." Come again for your next service. I thanked him. Then I took my cap. I put the cap on my head. But there was a small problem. My freshly shaved head was completely smooth, and the cap wasn't sitting properly. It kept sticking to my bald scalp. I adjusted it several times. Finally, I managed to wear it properly. Then I got back on my motorcycle.
he Ride Home During the ride home, my mind was full of thoughts. I kept thinking about everyone's reaction.
"Ghar jaake kya hoga?" What will happen when I get home?
"Sab kya bolenge?" What will everyone say?
"Shock honge ya hasenge?" Will they be shocked or laugh?
I had not told anyone exactly what I had decided to do.
So I knew the reaction was going to be interesting.
I reached home.I walked inside wearing my cap. Everyone looked at me.Then I removed the cap
And... Everyone was shocked. Nobody was expecting me to come home completely bald.
I just stood there. Takla. Again.
After the Bath Later, when I took a bath, I finally got to properly feel the difference. I touched my head. Nothing. No hair. Just my smooth bald scalp.
Then I looked at the rest of my body.
My head was bald. My face was fully shaved.
But my arms, legs, chest and the rest of my body still had all my dark body hair. It looked completely different.
I started thinking about how much I had worried before making this decision. I had been thinking about society.
Neighbours. People staring.People laughing.
What everyone would say. But in the end, I realized something.
"Log kya sochenge, woh unki problem hai." What people think is their problem. I had made the decision myself. And now...I was sitting at home again.
Takla.
So this was my second summer takla experience.
