Operation: 21st Century by Just_Me Wow. What an interesting twist for this site. I love the premise of this. I would venture to guess that this does actually happen today. I'm a 70's brat, with male offspring, who give me grief about my do all the time, and mine is only 3-4 inches long. Well done! by P.J. on 09 Dec 2019

An Actor And A Veteran Host a Dinner by Zero Just_Me: I feel for you man. In my naiveté I thought we were kind of "over that", and could let people be who they are meant to be. But I realise we are not, from talking with a gay relative of mine this summer, and a colleague at work my last hitch offshore.
Some places they could be open about it, but not everywhere. We have a ways to go, and I hope we go there sooner rather than later. by Vegard on 08 Dec 2019
Having him back, Part II by Vegard Vikingforce (are you Scandinavian?)
They really don't need that. Nor do anyone else really. by Vegard on 07 Dec 2019
An Actor And A Veteran Host a Dinner by Zero Hey, everyone, so here's a follow-up to An Actor and a Veteran Walk Into A Bar, if youe haven't read that one, I suggest you do first. It was fun to return to Pierre and Thomas a bit. Enjoy! :) by Anon on 07 Dec 2019
First, I was struck by Thomas' willingness to put his desire aside, to support Pierre. That shows a great degree of love and commitment.
Secondly, I cannot imagine what it would be like to come out at eighty. I can imagine the granfather's apprehension (maybe even terror), and I admire the courage he showed when he finally admitted who (and what) he was. I was raised in the deep South in a very homophobic church. Even though I've known I was gay since I was very young, I didn't acknowledge the fact until I was almost forty. It was was hard enough at forty. Doing it at eighty seems almost super-human.
I can also sympathize with Pierre. It's now ten years after I left my wife, and started my journey as a gay man, and my family still doesn't know.
Thank you for writing a very touching story. by Just_Me on 07 Dec 2019
Remembering Robby by Deke Cutter A nice story. I like the petsonal connection to how he decided to have a flattop. I also appreciate tbat you portrayed a good pace of relationship building. by Once Flattoped on 06 Dec 2019

Having him back, Part II by Vegard They both need flattop haircuts & Septum Rings,& matching Tats ! by Vikingforce on 06 Dec 2019
Operation: 21st Century by Just_Me I thought that this was a very clever story. Back in the 60's and 70's plenty of family convinced the fathers to grow their hair out to more fashionable lengths. Perhaps Disappointed Dad doesn't remember commercials like "The wet head is dead. Long live the dry look by Gillette." This story is a fie piece of fiction and I think it opens a new avenue. Thanks to Just_me for writing it. by Deke Cutter on 06 Dec 2019
abrazo....gracias por comentar. by juan on 06 Dec 2019
Disappointed Dad, I understand what you're saying, but I think kids are more accepting today than they were when I was a kid. There are teens in my neighborhood with hair ranging from shaved head to shoulder-length hair, and they don't ostracize each other like we did when I was a teen. Having said that, I think kids have always been conformists, and I think hairstyles for teens are rarely decided by the teen. It's almost always decided by the fashion of the time. I grew up in the Seventies, and anyone who had short hair was shunned--no matter the cause. Kids were brutal to the ones who were unfortunate enough to have fathers who insisted on short hair. In addition, I know most of my group tried to talk our fathers into letting their hair grow out, or into growing sideburns and moustaches. It was part of the culture of the time.
I've talked to people who grew up in the Fifties. It was the same way then. There were a few accepted haircuts, and that was it. by Just_Me on 05 Dec 2019
Unstoppable and Unmovable (II | B Side) by Zero I hope you continue your story. Like to see how his music works out, his Dad sent to jail at least for token time, and oh yeah what hair adventures occur to the new more self assured redhead. by Flattoppp on 05 Dec 2019
Por pedir siempre mas by juan ¡Buen barbero! Un abrazo by Anon on 05 Dec 2019
Operation: 21st Century by Just_Me While this is fiction I really don't get wht kids today are such conformists and march to the beat of what everyone else is doing. They are like hsir Nazis. Ethan lied about being bullied and manipulated his father purely to satisfy his own "sensibilities". His Dad liked his hair long and liked having a mullet style. If this was a reverse situation it would be called abusive and uncaring. I would follow this up with the Dad taking back his balls and littingbhos hair grow out in the back like he wanted. Then I'd like to see the boys learn to live for themselves and stop judging others like middle school queen bee bullies. I'd like to see them grow up and grow their hair out too and get cuts like their Dads had as they come to admire the men that take care of them. Haircuts should never be decided by others unless for a military reason. by Disappointed Dad on 05 Dec 2019
Por pedir siempre mas by juan Re bien ese corte Juan, es la que va. Donde queda la peluquería de Walter? by Leo on 05 Dec 2019
Just Like Tim's Please by P.J. A powerful, painful look at the other side of the coin! I suppose maybe twenty years down the road this might come back to bite them with our "interest" but ... I suspect more people are hurt by these forced cuts than we want to believe. This story pulled no punches in addressing that.
It was so flowing and strong that, like Rich’s hair, I was not aware of any minor grammatical or structural errors. Thank You for an amazing story. Be well! by Flattoppp on 05 Dec 2019
Having him back Part I by Vegard Powerful first chapter. Looking forward to a great story. by Flattoppp on 05 Dec 2019
Una sorpresa de mi mujer by Miguelito jajaja.....me has hecho reir...
gracias por compartir tu historia by PP on 05 Dec 2019
Having him back, Part II by Vegard Thanks for commenting guys. I really appreciate the feedback! by Vegard on 05 Dec 2019
Jimmy Becomes Jim, part 4 by Alex Oh, I had NO idea anyone was still reading! Expect a new part soon, then! by Alex on 05 Dec 2019
Haircut Fetish God (HFG) by Just_Me HFG. Well identified and described. I suspect many of us are chased by this thing. Thanks for another great adventure. by Flattoppp on 05 Dec 2019
Zero, that's high praise, coming from someone with your talent. Thanks!
Deke, I agree, but it was a real day in my life. Thankfully I haven't had many that were that extreme. Ha!
Pauldy, I'm working on two more stories. I'm not sure where they're going, but I'll see. I'm often surprised by what where my stories end up. by Just_me on 04 Dec 2019
It Felt Right This Time by Just_Me Zero, thanks for all the high praise you've given my writing. I've never had much faith in my ability, and your encouragement is appreciated.
Pauldy and Vegard, I hadn't thought about this as a series, but I'll reread it and see if the characters give me any ideas. Thanks for the suggestions. by Just _me on 04 Dec 2019
Unstoppable and Unmovable by Zero Hey, Flattoppp, thanks a lot for taking the time to read and review! I might go back to this character in the future after I finish other project first. So we'll see :) by Zero on 04 Dec 2019
