Pauley I agree, I was in the army in 1978, and after my military training I decided to grew my hair longer as it was the fashion and had my hair cut and styled every 6 weeks in a page boy style,long over the ears and in the back to my collar my my hair was cut to my eye brows and in layers I loved the cut, had wash and blow dried it morning and evening, i had long hair for about 8 or 9 years when I decided to go short again, to have short hairos so much easier I had it cut in different styles from a short regular cut, to buzz cuts, flat top with the side's cut to a no1/2 or some times shaved and having a little short combover, then cutting it to no2 sides/back and the top to a no6 for summer and a no 8 for winter, then i razor shaved my head on and off for 5 years,then I had just regular haircuts for the last 6 years I had fade's low mid high even high and tight fade's,the top from 3/4cm to 15mm never had a 00000 clipper shave but every one says it is like a razor shave, I still want to go get a barber's choice at different barbershop's Yes hair is really a nuisance aspect ally in summer where I live the heat can go up to mid 40°c, but looking forward to more stories by storyteller and others by Skin fade on 04 Aug 2024

The barber cut off all my hair, 3 mm on the top with the back and sides shaved up To the top. My father was delighted and sent me To this barber every 3 week for heads. I never went for barber’s choice as I figured they would be boring cuts. As a boy, I would have been thrilled to get this short scalping. I would have stayed with this haircut and hopefully in summer he would have skipped the #1 on top and just given me a 00000 baldy. A Decision by Sean Barnet Great story of a boy becoming a man in looks, attitude and grooming.
Once you get used to short hair, it’s difficult going back to anything with length.
This was the same haircut my dad gave me (minus the hair goop). I would have stayed with that style had I not been teased so bad about my ears as I loved the feel of getting everything on back and sides shaved off. I only wish I had asked for a full on buzz cut as I would have been glad to ditch the comb and the constant nagging from my mother to comb my hair.
