Barbershop Tester by Tim I did the different barber thing with flattops. I probably did 15. Some were really bad. One lady used shaving cream to stand it up. She was the worst. The others were bad. My younger barber was very good along with an older guy. They always turned the chair so you couldn't see. The first time my younger barber took of a huge amount. I had longer hair than I'd ever had. Ethan Goes Against the Grain by BarberedStrong Great story! Fiction or not it spoke to me. I wanted to get a flattop my entire life but I didn't have the confidence to pull the trigger until I was in my late thirties and even then my barber tried to dissuade me. He used a 3.5 on the sides that wasn't as short as I wanted, but the shop was extremely busy and people were stacked up so I didn't raise a stink. I was surprised that my barber didn't give me a traditional flat. It was an old school shop and the four barbers had probably been cutting since the sixties.
At any rate, about 15 years later my graying hair began to recede and I took the plunge and shaved my head. I love how it looks and feels and wish I had done it sooner.
If I still had hair I would be sporting an extreme high and tight flat but since I don't have that choice I have the next best thing.

A women’s perspective by Anna Zelle Thanks for sharing! I have a crew cut with a small pomp in the front and I’ve noticed it gets more compliments than when my hair was longer. A bit ago, I had an unruly mop of curls on top that looked great but I needed a change so I let my barber (who I’ve known for years) decide my new look. Next thing I know more than half of my hair was chopped off and I had this super sharp crew cut. The only curls I had left were at the front. Since getting it, I’ve loved how neat, tidy and mature it is, how easy it is to manage, and how it looks when I put pomade in it. I have a mid-to-high bald fade on the sides too, which makes my crew cut look perfect. Erik at Richard's barber shop. by Chovanec As boys, we all seemed to fight against short haircuts. Then as we turn into men, the struggle goes away (along with some of our hair). A haircut I would have cried about as a boy would now be extremely long for me. I would say the cycle continues but I now see lots of young boys with short buzzed hair. I’d say the stigma of short hair has gone away just as it has for men with shaved heads. It used to be I would be the only baldy in a crowd. Now I am generally one of several who have a shaved head.

Debe ser gratificante para un niño ser llevado por su padre a visitar a su anciano peluquero y recibir un corte al rape. Su padre y el barbero disfrutaron de su rapado. Cuanto más " 0" tenga la podadora mucho mejor. Debió continuar con estos cortes muy cortos y no sentirse humillado por sus primos y por compañeros de escuela. Un buen rapado para los niños es lo mejor, siempre con la vigilancia de su padre y con un peluquero de la vieja escuela que disfrute haciendo cortes al rape.

Growth: Epilogue by Jamiesstories2 Here we see a master at their craft. This was a stunning read from pologue to epilogue, and every point was addressed. I too am sad to see these characters continue on beyond the boundaries of this story, but I am satisfied with it all. Alex's Growth, in this regard, has come to a conclusion, but I'm sure he will keep growing -and perhaps keep cutting- both his hair, and himself as a person.
