Short, Shorter, Shaved! by Mike S. Always great to read a story from another convert to bald! I feel like the path you took is very common for many of us committed head shavers. Once you find the courage to shave it all off (it took me several years to get there), you’ll wonder why you hadn’t tried it earlier. For me, that was my biggest regret once I finally shaved my head and made it my permanent "hairstyle".
To anyone reading this, thinking about shaving your head, JUST DO IT, you will love it! For many guys, like me, if you ever questioned the idea of growing it back, male pattern baldness jumped into the picture, ensuring I would really have no choice but to stay shaved bald. I am actually glad I have MPB, as it makes keeping my head shaved easier. I am now probably a Norwood 6 hoping to end up a Norwood 7.

Sin embargo, el protagonista de esta historia es un hombre bueno que recuerda sin rencor aquella experiencia. Si la protección a la infancia funcionase mínimamente bien, a este muchacho tendrían que ponerlo bajo la custodia de las autoridades, que ingresara en un centro de acogida, lejos de la navaja barbera de su padre, auténtico instrumento de tortura. Your Brother Wants It Short, Part 3 by Jonathan Love the surprise/unwanted flattop haircut stories. Sounds like it was a short one. I would have the barber apply butchwax and brush it all straight up and back.It would make it look more like the 1950s. He'd feel more like a geek when people saw him. Standing with Zach by Manny I don't understand all these negative comments : the story is just about a young guy shocked by negative comments on his campus because he is Jewish and about the positive reaction of his roommate. The story has nothing to do with politics, except as an accessory element.
All the hateful comments were totally inappropriate !

Standing with Zach by Manny I have fair hair and my hair is rather long, by the way I am also a Jew and an atheist (yes that combination exists).
I have lots of respect for you Manny and I enjoyed this short story.
I am afraid that the people who make many negative comments about Israel, about Jews and about their religion don't know the history of Israel, of its creation in 1948. Neither do they know the history of the Jewish people, which is NOT that of Israel where 25% of the inhabitants are non Jews. Furthermore, they probably don't make the distinction between "Jew" and "Israelian", which is a tremendous distinction.
Before making so many negative comments about an excellent story, get your data correct !

No sé si esta historia será verdadera o fruto de la imaginación del autor pero me encaja perfectamente en el comportamiento sectario que practican los miembros del Opus. Cortarse el pelo a lo bestia para tener un escudo de protección frente a las tentaciones de la carne es un auténtico disparate. La historia de la prueba médica hace que me ratifique en que los socios de la Obra (como se llaman a sí mismos) son una panda de fanáticos peligrosos, que manipulan a los adolescentes para explotarlos impunemente. Ya sólo hace falta que Barbero Militar nos obsequie con un relato sobre la sociedad ultrasecreta del Yunque. Le doy ideas para poder hacer más tarde otro alegato a favor de la libertad. Posiblemente, en 1978 lo estaría pero esta siniestra institución, a la que pertenece el internado masculino, tenía experiencia para saltarse los derechos humanos. Ningún experimento científico justifica este tipo de acciones. Me pongo en el lugar de los chicos y comprendo la angustia que deberían sentir. La imagen de una cabeza afeita, como una perfecta bola de billar, no es fácil de digerir por aquellos adolescentes, chicos sumisos y nada problemáticos. CUIDADO CON LO QUE DESEAS by BARBERO MILITAR El protagonista de la historia actuó de buena fe, no me cabe la menor duda al respecto. Sin embargo, el tal don Alfonso, director del centro interpreta tanto interés por las cosas del internado como una intromisión inaceptable. Según su lógica, ningún alumno debe decidir nada y menos en temas de uniformidad y disciplina. Es evidente que no va a consentir esta injerencia, aunque tenga como último fin la disciplina y el principio de autoridad. Los escritos del muchacho avivarán el fuego, como dice el director. El pelado impuesto debe servir de lección a este mequetrefe para que no vuelva a meter las narices donde no le llaman. Mi hermano es teniente de la COE by Barbero Militar Una de las mejores historias de disciplina que he leído por aquí. El chaval protagonista, evidentemente, está traumatizado por haber perdido a sus padres. Sin embargo, cuenta con la ayuda de un hermano mayor que está dispuesto a hacer lo que sea con tal de que el pequeño de la familia salga adelante y se labre un futuro. En la COE (Cuerpos de Operaciones Especiales) se inculca a sus miembros valores supremos y sobre todo espíritu de sacrificio. Por lo tanto, estoy convencido de que aquel joven teniente velará por el chico, se desvivirá por su bienestar. Lo del corte de pelo impuesto es una manera de imponerle la disciplina, es un símbolo de que debe renunciar a las cosas vanas, sacrificarse en la vida para alcanzar los más altos ideales. Hoy en día estos valores, los progres que nos gobiernan, intentan desprestigiarlos. New Buzzcut Family by Etham This is a good story of getting introduced to the US and getting your head buzzed. After you get used to having little to no maintenance on a buzzed , or better yet shaved head, it’s hard to go back to having hair again. I’m always shocked when I see a guy who had buzzed or shaved head grow it back out.
Hopefully Pavel learns some of the good things from the US including keeping his hair buzzed off. Hair is such a nuisance. Glad I will never have to deal with it again! by Pauldy on 13 Apr 2024
Standing with Zach Stories There has been a lot of spirited debate around Standing With Zach by Manny and Truther's alternative version. The decision to publish both was not taken lightly. Manny is one of the most talented and prolific writers on the site and because of this, I decided to publish understanding there would likely be legitimate objections. Thinking ahead, I also decided that all comments would be published. I viewed Truther's version as a commentary on the original rather than simply plagiarism and, decided to publish it rather than censor an alternative viewpoint. I totally accept others would have made different decisions and respect their reasoning. It is now time to move forward so I will not be publishing any additional comments on either story. el castigo de Domingo by jenrique Me ha gustado mucho que contéis una historia basada en hechos reales. La simplicidad del argumento hace que esta resulte más auténtica. Cuando se elaboran relatos muy sofisticados y complicados se pierde credibilidad. Los padres de antaño eran así: si los hijos varones se comportaban mal les aplicaban un castigo muy duro, para que aprendieran a obedecer. Aquellas maquinillas más que herramientas de trabajo eran instrumentos de tortura. Ya recuerdo el traqueteo, la mano del barbero moviéndose a gran velocidad, el cabello desparramado por el suelo, en forma de mechones.
