Oh, Tom. by TheeFellowTraveler @Zero thank you very much for your kind words! Your comments always bring a smile to my face and make my day, so I'd like to wish you a great one too :)
@ckbald thanks! I definitely had fun writing it, and I'm really glad to hear that some of that has reflected onto the story as well. Thanks for the read! by TheFellowTraveler on 20 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny I think this entire OAC business was motivated by jealousy and directed at Manny's immense skills as a writer by people who whether using AI or not, could not pen a decent story here if their life or lives depended on it. That simple. by Hootny on 20 Aug 2025

White Walled by Jonathan A friend of mine got white walled when he got his hair cut. I wanted that cut but it was the 70’s and it would not have gone down well with my peers. I should have done it anyway.
Excellent story well worth reading again. by JJ on 18 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny OAC, I for once, always welcome insightful readings and critiques as an author.
Just as we're free as writers to post here out of our will, readers should be free to engage.
And I also fail to see any disrespect or hostility in your comments towards Manny.

Like a Local - part 2 by Manny OAC, if you’re still reading this. Don’t waste your time with these losers. You write beautifully and I appreciate a perspective on this website that’s not "wow that’s hot!" Or "manny take my first born child!". I don’t really care for this story, I gave up reading it pretty quickly. Constructive criticism breeds improvement and people who fear it are doomed to a life of stagnation and monotony (are these words too big for the Manny Fan Club?). If I ever post a story on here, I would love to see your honest critique of my work. Don’t let anyone change you because they’re afraid to look at their own flaws.
Yall, this is a gay fetish website. It was never that serious.
p.s. now you HAVE to write a gay parody of this story. That’ll really get them fuming. by IWNH on 18 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny Is it just me, or do OAC's comments read like ChatGPT nonsense? If you're going to criticize a story, please, do it yourself. Obviously no story is perfect, nor the stories in this site aspire to be. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, but before submitting destructive or innecesary comments it's always a good idea to breath in and count to 10 :) I know I won't comment on the fact that you think it's a good idea to use a gay theme to make a parody of this, or any, story. by BuzzmeHT on 18 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny I can only hope that Manny totally ignores the comment sections, particularly the ones populated by pompous fools as of late.

Back to School - Final by Scott the Haircut Lover WOW! I just read this whole series. For those of you who, who like me are gay and into shaved bald heads, YOU GOTTA READ ALL FOUR PARTS!
I’ve had the gay sex, along with all the foreplay that goes with it. I’ve also had the head shave arousal but never anyone who was into head shaving and gay sex.
To be shaved bald at a young age and out too. I am envious and loved this story all the way!

Like a Local - part 2 by Manny “Verbose and condescending" is a falsehood. How would you have said what I said in a more concise way, that maintains its criticism of the work both in a vacuum and within the same artist’s body of work? Manny is usually quite consistent regarding characterization, but the nameless protagonist here has such a dramatic shift in demeanor over such a short period that it seemed to be worth analysis. If you think that 5 paragraphs of commentary on a multiple part and ongoing work is particularly over-expressive, then what exactly should I have said? And I would contest that I am condescending. I have not at all treated the work in a way that disregards its content. This specific chapter in this work sticks out among others as particularly related to a fantasy of domination, as opposed to one of submission like the previous, and the very nature of who the perspective character is shifts in a manner that this alteration of the story’s hierarchy necessitates in order to make this shift. He becomes a hypocrite, in that he purports to submit to Liam, even as he demands Liam act upon him. The dynamics at play are fascinating, and I do not think it is dismissive to examine this in depth and with a lens like the one I used when the work itself has the character liken himself to a media figure particularly relevant to the lens. by OAC on 15 Aug 2025

Like a Local - part 2 by Manny OAC Your attempts to avoid negativity are not succeeding! Now you are doubling down with your verbose and condescending review. Manny is one of the most talented and prolific contributors to this site. This is yet another creative and enthralling series. He may not win a Pullitzer prize, but he continues to win the admiration and gratitude of most of our readers. Focus your expertise into a story submission, and let's see how it is received. by ClipperAddict on 15 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny You misunderstand me; I am not trying to be negative. I just think that the inconsistency in characterization creates a dissonance that makes what could very well be an endearing man in the first part into a man who is likely to have an ex-wife and a child he says he misses but still doesn’t like to spend time with. His shift to being completely domineering is not, as of yet, narratively justified, and I get the inkling that the framing of this story does not lend itself towards being a subversion of what it implies. Right now, the perspective is that of an asshole who is getting his way, and I do not see this as being healthy for the site that the most prolific and beloved writer here with consistently high quality is creating a character that is presumably meant to be related to by the reader act in a manner which is just so impulsive and self-centered. Other stories from the same pen have considered the perspective of the people being disrupted in the past, but as of yet, in this narrative, there is only one-and-a-half people who seems to have any intended relatability, the perspective character and Liam. Liam is also interesting in that he is so willing to be party to this manipulation, but he is not yet developed enough to get any accurate read on exactly where his character will go. by OAC on 15 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny Imagine tending to the many managers who fall short by haircut discipline, and getting a local beautician to see to those among the female office stuff who spend the day worrying about their flashy clothes and playing with their hair. Mandatory pixie cuts and office uniforms with pantsuits or below-the-knee skirts to keep them focused on their job. This is a Manny Masterpiece. And I see a lot of people here (save one) agree. by Hootney on 15 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny Overly Analytical Commenter you certainly picked the right name. Given your obviously superior writing why not put your energy into a story rather than wasting your talent on a condescending critique. by ClipperAddict on 15 Aug 2025
Like a Local - part 2 by Manny There is some interesting characterization here for the nameless protagonist, who I’ll call Patrick. He both wants to enforce a code of ethics, and yet does something exceptionally unethical in his blatant favoritism, while apparently being very quick to reshape his entire internal hierarchy of men based in part on something relatively minor that happened to him the previous day, with him even going as far as to lie about what occurred for what is presumably his own titillation. I am certainly interested in seeing how this advances, but currently, Patrick is a character who has no internal consistency.
I’m willing to suspend my disbelief that women somehow are not present in either the factory’s employees or in the management, but this, I dare say, unstable man being completely unaccountable for anything he does, and making thinly-veiled threats like this, is certainly something that tests the limits. I’m not trying to be overly analytical, but I legitimately cannot think of a time when the dynamics present in this chapter would ever be present in a non-fictitious environment.
The sort of fantasy present on this site tends to be more of a sexual nature, but the insertion of Trump’s name into this narrative as part of the characterization of Patrick makes it almost read as a shameless power fantasy before anything else, with the coding of the characters being along political lines becoming very conspicuous. If I were to parody this, it would be a flag factory that goes from making gay pride flags to making American flags, but like, the kinds that break flag code by adding miscellaneous iconography that you can buy on Amazon.
The first part creates an interesting setup for a total transformation of both Patrick and the factory’s culture, in which discipline could be woven from chaos, but the way in which the protagonist acts is less weaving and more just randomly tying knots in the fabric. If this were built up to more, then it would make sense, but as it stands, this second part retroactively made him into an almost manic "disruptor"-type, who thinks firing a selection of experienced workers who he has grievances against would greatly improve the culture without any work to fill the power vacuum which that would create. by OverlyAnalyticalCommenter on 15 Aug 2025

Beginners Luck by Anonymous Oh, if only I had had the chance to experience a shaved head as a kid! My parents weren’t against them but dad with his comb over, certainly never gave me or even asked me if I wanted a summer buzz cut or baldy. If only I had been with my cousins when they were getting shaved down to nothing I could’ve joined them. Had I had that chance, I think I would’ve been a permanent baldy convert much earlier in life.
Funny thing is all my cousins who were buzzed down as kids all have reasonably long hair and me, who always had the longer hair is the committed head shaver (fortunately I really don’t have any options now anyway as my MPB is much more advanced than my dad’s was).
Oh, the thought of getting my head shaved as a kid. So wish I had experienced that! by Pauldy on 14 Aug 2025

Like a Local - part 2 by Manny The new boss could, and should, be given a Part 3, where he begins to use Charlie (and Liam) and his crewcuts-flat-tops-whatever to be used as a disciplinary action. He finds that some his elegantly-coiffed, well-dressed managers aren't pulling their weight, and they soon find themselves not fired, but summarily demote to laborer-shop worker positions, while the better shop workers suddenly find themselves as managers. The offenders are taken to Charlie's, shorn and then forced to go to a back room to change into their new laborer outfits. So they enter as lousy managers with prissy hairdos and fancy clothes leave as crewcutted or flattopped workers in the uniforms of other shop workers. by Burrhed on 14 Aug 2025

I also never understood guys who have had their heads shaved but then sport a bad MPB look when they could just go back to the full head shave.

Nothing to hide by BaldBearded Great story! For those of us with bald shaved heads, once you accept being bald, it’s actually a relief and feels oh so great.
Looking back to my own hair, I think the flattop was my transition haircut. Although when I look back at pics with that haircut, I could see I was only trying to cover my baldness. Back in the early 90’s, white boys didn’t have shaved heads. Even when I shaved my head (had tried it a few times previously) in 99, completely bald white guys were rare. If I could have done it over, I would have skipped the flattop with its high maintenance and just shaved my head clean years before I did.
Like Ethan, I got lots of compliments on the bald head. Only difference is I loved it once I got past all the reactions from others (almost all were positive though).
Hope to read more of your stories! by Pauldy on 13 Aug 2025
Buy a hair clipper by July A crazed mother for sure, with a mean streak shaving her kids. Says nothing about how long mom’s hair is? Regardless, the first of every month would be a time dreaded by the teenagers in that house. The two boys being scalped against their will. Being buzzed bald with no clipper guard was forced on them, and their sister who shed tears while her hair is clipped.into an unwanted bob by the cruel mother. Long term consequences for this mean spirited mom. Her children as adults, with kids of they’re own would alienate grandma, and for good reason. I don’t like to be harsh on comments . However, this is a stupid, unbelievable, garbage of a story. by M DeMarlo on 13 Aug 2025
