The First Cut by Caroline Leed Hugo gets to enjoy having the sides and back shaved completely bald. Hopefully the barber took the top shorter too. Otherwise he would look like a mushroom head.
I had the sides shaved for several years before I finally got my whole head shaved. As great as the sides felt, nothing compares to having a no guard clipper run across the top of your head followed by shaving crème and a razor. That first guard less cut to the top is so masculine.
Hopefully in your next instalment of Hugo, the barber shaves his entire head smooth for the summer.

I too started my transition to short hair at the same time, same age, just in a different college in a different state.
Once I braved the haircut that exposed my ears after hiding them for many years, I knew my short hair journey had just begun. No longer was I afraid to get short back and sides. In fact, the shorter the better! Never blocked, tapered '. I always said that once the hair came off my ears, I would eventually resort to shaving all of my hair off. It took many years and some strong nudges from father nature.
Back in that time period, hair like described here was almost exclusively on ROTC. I wasn’t ROTC but got compliments from those guys.
I’m jealous of young guys now who skip the in between haircuts and go straight to a shaved head. I was definitely on the very first wave of shaved heads in the late 90’s.

It was great that the younger boy was eager to have his head shaved by the barber, but I understood the initial trepidation of his teenage brother. I never had my head shaved bald as a teenager, but I did have to have my hair cut into a buzz cut after I had brain surgery. Two young bald transformation by classic cutz Very well written story of two boys experiencing the benefits of a smooth shaved head. Both boys get a new (and now) trendy, edgy look. The fear of getting shaved by a blade is a big fear for many. For me, the few times I had a razor shave in small places around my ear, or hairline took away all fears. The biggest fear I had was other people’s reactions.
These boys handled the head shaves well. I am certain they will have the confidence to face others and explain why they are shaved completely bald. My guess is the Father’s hair, like most guys, is thinning. He could have really made this a wonderful experience for all three of them if he too shaved his head.

Putting It Off (Part 2) by f35h There is nothing as smart as a boy with his regular short back and sides as we called it in the 1960's and 1970's (no side's and no back) I prefer the fade haircut's nowadays because it is more polished and in my opinion a better cut,I think the zero shaved bottom going into a two is definitely shorter and the best part is the razor shave from where the haircut starts to around the ears and down to the neck, I didn't like the short back and sides and did not want my hair cut like that but every time my step-dad went to the barber's to get his short back and sides I went with I one's ask him if I could get a square cut he called me Suze but I could not stop looking what sort of haircut's the other boys that were before me getting I took a razor and shaved my sides and back after my haircut and some times a few days later to...until I was caught by my mom after I shaved it, I new I had a thing for haircut's but did not knew those years what it was...now I now I have a haircut fatish and always look at guys with short hair especially the extremely short ones...and the shorter the more I liked it...one day I dreamed I had a guy that lived with me and I use to give him the shortest haircut's and if he didn't sit still I wil give him a party with a belt cane or whip on his naked butt and he had to remove [shave] all the hair on his body from his toes to his face if he didn't shave I will wack his naked but again controlling him at all time's please right more I love to read it by Skin fade on 06 Jul 2025
Two young bald transformation by classic cutz Seems kind of mean spirited of the dad getting his sons shaved bald, and nefariousness with a joking smile, "come on buddy, it’s your turn" as if it was a fun thing.. what kind of father does that? A shady father does, with a cruel streak. If it was such a bonding event then why did the father not get his head shaved too. 26 years in, you couldn’t even pay me (not that I have much hair left anyway) to grow my hair back. I love seeing so many other bald guys around.

An MPB dome of my own by Manny This is a very good story. While I am not a big fan of mpb, this story took me back to the time when shaved heads or short haircuts were not as common. It was so exciting and unnerving to ask for one at a barbershop. Now it is so common that it loses part of the excitement to ask for a crew cut, flattop or a shaved head. Asking for an mpb cut would be extreme, even now. From time to time I wonder what I would look like with Norwood 7 but I love my fully shaved bald head.
