Rob was one of those men who just could not face losing thier hair. For Rob his futile attempts to conceal his hairloss were less than satisfactory. Before he started losing it his hairline was full expanding across his forehead.

When the first signs began to appear it was along the temples. The formidable widow`s peak appeared. Rob tried to make subtle attemps to hide it by allowing his hair to grow longer on top and letting it fall over the sides. Nobody said anything to him.

It was inevitable his once full head of blonde hair would progressively disperse from his head. As with all men who start losing their hair it becomes more difficult to conceal the loss. As in Rob`s case what once was his widow`s peak began to move furthur back. He reached the point where he had what one would say was a very high forehead.

It was at this stage Rob began letting his hair grow over the front as well as the sides. It looked like he had long bangs. And it looked ridiculous. But Rob thought it looked better. His hair continued to recede.

He reached the stage where all of the hair on the top of his head was now gone. If he gave in he would have the typical mpb fringe. And yet Rob would not give in. Eventhough the fringe would look far better than his feeble attempts to conceal his baldness.

The time would come when he would have to submit or get a hairpiece. Which is what we thought he would eventually do. But he did not. Then came they day when Rob finally accepted the truth inrecognizing his baldness. Rob surprised us all how well he finally accepted going bald. Rob you could say was taking the bull by the horns and confronted the fact he had to live with a fringe. He cut his hair and accepted what remained. Or so we thought.

Rob had gone out of town for about a week. So we did not see him until he returned. Rob no longer had the fringe of hair. Instead he sported a well tanned shaven head. We asked when he decided to take it all off. With a grin he answered one night I just decided to shave off the fringe to see how I look without any hair. At first I was not sure. But after it tanned I found I really liked my head totally bald.

We told him it did look great on him. Rob said I never planned on shaving my head but am glad I did it. Rob now keeps his head head shaven clean. It is just the right style for him. We have nick named him Chrome Dome, which he has dubbed himself.
