Kai part 3 by Bald K

“Here we are," Kai’s stepfather said as he pulled up outside their chalet. “My parents have already arrived.
“How will they like having a shaven headed thug as a step grandson?" Toby said to Kai as he got out of the car.
“What will they think of having a grandson who had his hair permed just to be fashionable?" Kai replied.
“I thought I heard a car pull up." Peter said as he walked out of the chalet. “Was it a good journey?"
“Not much traffic at all," Mark told Peter. “How about you?"
“Quite a smooth journey," Peter replied. “How are you Sharon?"
“I am well thank you," Sharon said to Peter.
“Well, well young Kai has decided to shave his hair off," Peter grinned. “You pull off the skinhead look very well."
“Thank you grandad," Kai replied.
“What have you done to your hair?" Peter asked Toby. “Since when did you have curly hair?"
“My mother permed it for me last week, it is called fashion," Toby told his grandad.
“Are you gay or something? Girls have their hair permed," Peter told Toby. “You should take a leaf out of young Kai’s look."
“Kai looks like a thug with his hair shaved off," Toby replied as he walked into the chalet. “Good evening nan," Toby said to his gran.
“Look what Toby done with his hair," Peter said to Margaret. “He thinks it is fashionable to have his hair permed."
“Why?" Margaret asked Toby.
“Fashion haircut is permed mullet or blow out fade," Toby replied. “Unlike Kai who decided to shave his hair off and become a skinhead thug."
“My Kai, don’t you look different with your shaved head and the skinhead clothes and boots," Margaret said as she saw Kai. “You certainly pull off the skinhead look."
“Thanks nan," Kai grinned. “Had it done last Monday after meeting some skinheads and I thought how they looked different to the bland have to be fashionable idiots."
“Good for you," Peter said. “Now who fancies going to the clubhouse for a drink?"
“Yeah, I can unpack my gear in the morning," Kai replied.
“I am going to facetime my bird," Toby said as he walked into his bedroom.
Kai walked over to the clubhouse with his parents and grandparents and found a table and sat down.
“What can I get everybody?" Peter asked. “Can you give me a hand to get the drinks?" Peter asked Kai.
“Sure thing," Kai replied as he followed Peter over to the bar.
“What can I get you?" A young man with a shaved head, four heavy steel ring in his left ear and spider web tattoos on his elbows asked Peter. “Nice skinhead crop mate," the young man said to Kai.
“Cheers, mate," Kai grinned. “You look good with your shaved head."
“Do yours if you fancy a smooth dome," the young man told Kai.
“Let me think about it," Kai replied. “I could try it out and make me stand out a bit more along with rings in my ear," Kai thought to himself as he picked up the tray and walked back to the table.
“What made my grandson shave his hair off then?" Peter asked Kai as he took a mouthful of beer.
“A couple of Saturdays back when I was working I took a food order out to a group of four skinheads," Kai told Peter. “I got talking to them about how I liked the look and how they stood out from the boring fashion boys."
“Kai bought home Dylan, one of the skinheads and he told me that Kai was thinking of getting the skinhead look," Mark told Peter.
“I met up with Dylan and Troy the next day and Troy had his hair shaved off at Dave’s barber shop and next thing I knew I was in the chair getting my hair shaved off," Kai grinned. “They just gave me that final little push I needed to get the haircut."
“Now you are a fully kitted out skinhead," Margaret laughed.
“The boots must have set you back a bit," Peter said to Kai.
“Two hundred, but Mark has paid half the cost," Kai replied.
“Let me pay the other half then," Peter said to Kai. “At least you have the guts to try something different."
“Thanks grandad you are the best," Kai said to Peter.
“I will transfer the money to your account as I have your bank details," Peter said to Kai.

Kai woke early the next morning and set out on a ten-k run to keep up his fitness. As Kai ran into the city Kai saw the skinhead that worked behind the bar at the holiday park jogging towards him.
“Hey," the skinhead said to Kai as he stopped jogging. “You doing ok?"
“Doing good man," Kai replied as he stopped his run. “Love your earring ladder and your ink."
“Cheers man, how long you been a skinhead?" The skinhead asked Kai. “I am Scott by the way."
“I am Kai, nice to meet another skinhead," Kai said to Scott. “I have only been a skinhead for a week how about you?"
“Since I was seventeen, three years ago," Scott told Kai. “You thinking of ink and metal?"
“I am not seventeen until September," Kai told Scott. “Would love a ladder in my ear to make me stand out a bit more."
“I know a guy that will do it cheap for you," Scott told Kai.
“I would need to run it past my parents." Kai said to Scott. “I don’t think it will be much of a problem."
“Run it past them when you get back and meet me at the war memorial at ten, this is my phone number," Scott told Kai.
“I will man," Kai said to Scott. “Do you know of a record shop where I can get back street by Skadrow on the limited-edition vinyl?"
“Try alternative records on high street, they usually stock skinhead oi and ska records," Scott told Kai.
“Thanks for that, I will let you know about getting the ladder in my ear," Kai said to Scott.
“See you in the bar tonight," Scott told Kai. “If you don’t meet me and get the ladder done."
Kai continued his run before returning to the chalet where he saw Mark cooking some bacon.
“How was your run?" Mark asked Kai.
“It was good," Kai replied. “I met Scott the skinhead who works behind the bar while I was out."
That’s good, do you want a bacon sandwich?" Mark asked Kai.
“That is a stupid question," Kai grinned. “What is the plan for today?"
“Not much, I think it is a beach day today," Mark told Kai,
“Would it be ok if went into the town to have a look around?" Kai asked Mark.
“You are sixteen, you can do what you want on the holiday," Mark told Kai as he handed Kai his bacon sandwich. “Do you want a bacon sandwich?" Mark asked Toby as he walked into the kitchen.
“As from today I have decided that I am going to be a vegan along with Helen," Troy replied.
“Then you will be buying your own food," Mark told Troy. “You had better go and find a shop for your vegan food."
“Fine," Troy said as he walked out of the chalet.
“Problem?" Peter said as he walked into the kitchen.
“Troy has decided to go vegan as from now," Mark told Peter. “Bacon sandwich?"
“Be rude not to," Peter replied as Margaret and Sharon walked into the kitchen.
“As you are all here I would like to ask you something," Kai said. “How would you feel if I got an earring ladder like Scott who works behind the bar has?"
“Is that what you want?" Kai’s mother asked Kai.
“I would like to get it done if it is ok with you," Kai replied. “If I don’t like it I can always take the rings out."
“I have no problem with it," Mark told Kai.
“Scott said he knows somebody that will do it for me this morning," Kai said. “I am just going to grab a shower before I head into the town."
“Kai is growing up fast," Peter said to Mark. “Seems to know what career path he wants to take."
“Unlike Toby who seems to be controlled by Helen," Mark sighed. “Why he wants to be a vegan god only knows."

Kai made his way back into the town and found the shop called alternative records and walked in.
“Can I help you young man?" A young man with the back and sides of his head shaved and small blond spikes on top.
“I was wondering if you have Skadrow’s new album on the limited-edition union jack vinyl," Kai said to the young man. “It’s called back street rebels."
“I will just go and check as the delivery has only just arrived," the young man told Kai.
Kai wandered over to the ska and oi section of records and started to flick through them and came across an album called oi skinhead! In blood red vinyl. Kai took the record out and checked out the songs by various artists.
“Not heard of some of these groups," Kai thought to himself as he walked over to the counter with the record.
“You are in luck. Two copies came in, you also get the free shirt that comes with it," the young man told Kai. “You want that record as well?"
“Yes please," Kai replied. “You have gone and got a copy of streetpunk by Luca, he was so bad he got booed off when he done the support for Skadrow."
“I know I was at the gig a few miles from here when he came on," the young man agreed. “He managed to do three songs before walking off."
Luca paid for the records and walked out of the shop to see Scott waiting for him across the road at the war memorial.
“You got the record you wanted then?" Scott asked Kai as they started to walk down a side road.
“Also got a compilation album called Oi skinhead!" Kai told Scott as Scott pushed open a door.
“Nice one," Scott said as they walked down a dimly set of stairs.
“You ok V man?" Scott asked a young guy with a curtain style haircut and heavy steel rings in both ears. “Meet Kai he is holiday here and wants a four ring in his left ear.
“No problem, are you looking at small silvers or heavy steel?" V man asked Kai.
“I have not thought about that," Kai replied. “What do you think I should get done?"
“If you want to stand out I would get what Scott has," the V man told Kai.
“Then that is what I will have," Kai replied impulsively. “Why start small which people can hardly see."
“Good man," V man grinned. “Take a seat and I will go and get them for you."
“Take you to see Rod after and get your head shaved nice and smooth," Scott said to Kai.
“I only have two mill at the moment, I could order you three mill for when you are ready to go larger," V man said as he put a tray with the four rings on the workbench.
“Get them ordered in, they can be a parting gift from me when Kai goes back home," Scott told V man.
“No problem," V man said as he pulled on a pair of latex gloves before picking up a wipe and cleansing Kai’s left ear before picking up a marker pen and marked where the rings would go in Kai’s left ear.
“You ready for this then?" V man asked Kai.
“You bet I am," Kai confidently replied. “Get me pierced.
Kai watched as V man picked up the piercing needle and felt him push the needle it through the earlobe before taking a steel ring out of its wrapper and sliding through the piercing.
“One down three to go," Scott said to Kai. “Looking better already."
“Cool," Kai replied with a faint smile on his face.
V man pierced Kai’s earlobe another three times before placing the needle back on the tray and wiping Kai’s ear with another wipe.
“What do you think?" V man asked Kai as he handed Kai a small mirror.
“It makes me look a lot harder and more stand out from the crowd," Kai grinned. “I love it."
“Use this surgical spirit on the piercings three times a day and move the rings so they don’t set," V man told Kai as he had Kai a bottle of surgical spirit.
“Will do," Kai grinned as he stood up and paid V man for the piercings.
“See you soon," Scott said to V man as he made his way to the stairs with Kai and walked back out onto the street. “Ready to go razor smooth then?" Scott asked Kai.
“Yeah," Kai grinned. “Make me a bald boy."
Kai followed Scott further up the side street and saw a spinning barbers pole as they turned a corner and stopped outside Roman’s traditional barbers shop.
“Hey Rod, you ok?" Scott said to a man in his early sixties. “How much to razor my new mates head?"
“Give me a five as he has already shaved it with the clippers," Rod said as he got out of the chair and motioned to Kai to take a seat. “I guess you are not from round here?"
“On holiday with my family," Kai replied as he made himself comfortable in the chair. “Only got a skinhead crop for the first time last Monday.
“You have had it redone since?" Rod asked Kai as he tucked a white cape into Kai’s collar.
“Friend of mine has balding clippers and redone it Saturday," Kai replied. “Met Scott yesterday and he suggested the smooth bald look."
“You have come to the right place," Rod said as he picked up his shaving mug after turning the hot water on.
Kai watched as Rod put a splash of hot water into the shaving mug and then got a good lather going before spreading the hot shaving soap over Kai’s stubble before sharpening his razor on the leather strop that hung on a hook.
“Old Rod is a traditional style barber that uses a cutthroat razor," Scott told Kai. “Just keep still so he does not cut you."
“Best not then," Kai grinned as Rod placed a small towel on Kai’s shoulder before gently tilting Kai’s head to one side.
Kai watched in the mirror as Rod started to shave the side of his head, Kai saw where the slight black stubble had been being replaced by white skin. Rod continued to carefully shave the stubble off Kai’s head eventually starting on the top. Rod checked he had not missed a spot before placing the razor back on the bench and walking over to a steamer and taking a hot towel out and wrapping it around Kai’s head.
“This feels awesome," Kai thought to himself as Rod massaged the towel on Kai’s head before removing it and wiping Kai’s now bald head with it before placing it in a basket.
“You rock the bald look," Scott said to Kai as Rod removed the cape.
“It feels so weird not having any hair on my head," Kai replied as he rubbed his smooth head. “I love the feel though and the look."
“Told you that you would," Scott told Kai as he sat down in the chair and got his head shaved smooth.
Scott paid Rod for the head shaves and walked out of the shop with Kai.
“Get some factor fifty sunscreen for the head so you don’t get sunburn or sunstroke," Scott told Kai. “See you in the bar later I am off to get my tattoo sleeve started now."
“I will see you later," Kai replied as he made his way to a chemist and got the sunscreen before making his way back to the holiday camp.

Kai got up off his bed as he heard the key turn in the chalet door and made his way into the lounge as his family walked in.
“You have shaved the rest of your hair off," Mark said as he saw Kai. “With the earrings in your ear you look even more different."
“You look like what you are a thug," Toby said as he walked in. “A skinhead thug."
“Kai is his own person," Peter said to Toby. “If he wants to be a skinhead it is his choice."
“He is not even your proper grandson," Toby told Mark. “I am going to call Helen."
“I don’t know why Toby even came on holiday with us," Sharon sighed. “I will go and make us some sandwiches."
“I also got these records," Kai said as he took the records out of the bag. “Just have to wait until I get home to listen to them.
“You really are embracing the skinhead scene," Mark grinned.
“I guess I am," Kai grinned. “I got some factor fifty to put on my bald head if we are off back to the beach this afternoon."
“Toby is going into the town to find a place that sells vegan food," Mark told Kai. “He needs to go and find himself some lunch as he has not eaten today."
“I am catching the train and going back home," Toby said as he walked out of his room with his bag. “I don’t want to be associated with a skinhead thug."
“Where do you think you are going?" Sharon said to Toby as she walked into the lounge with a plateful of sandwiches.
“I am going home, I did not want to come to this s*** place anyway," Toby said as he opened the door and started to walk out of the chalet. “You treat the skinhead more like a son than me," Toby said to his father.
“Fine, if you feel that way go back home and we will see you on Sunday," Toby’s father replied. “Just because Kai is being what he wants to be you should respect that."
“When I said I was becoming a vegan you could not even f***ing support me," Toby said. “When your darling boy Kai walked in with his head shaved you were supportive of him, Toby said as he walked out of the chalet and shut the door.
“Maybe I did go a bit far with the earrings and getting the head shaved smooth," Kai sighed.
“Rubbish, you have decided on how you want to look, and we respect that," Peter told Kai. “Toby needs to respect you for what you are."
“I agree," Margaret said. “You have decided that you want to be a skinhead and not a fashion boy like Toby has to be."
“Do you like the shaved head?" Kai’s mother asked Kai.
“I loved the feeling of getting it shaved, and I do like the bald look," Kai admitted to his mother.
“Go into the town and get a five-blade razor and some decent shaving gel and I will teach you how to shave your own head," Mark said to Kai. “You can stay bald for as long as you like."
“I will probably grow it back to the zero crop look when we get back home," Kai told Mark. “I think I will go for a swim after I have got the razor and shaving gel."
Kai ate some sandwiches before walking back into the town and walked into a supermarket and purchased a five-blade razor and some cartridges. Walking out of the supermarket Kai decided to have a look down a street that he just noticed. Kai saw a shop called altern8 that done retro clothing and had a signs in the windows saying massive closing down sale and everything must go.
“Guess it will be worth a look in here," Kai thought to himself as he pushed the door open.
Kai saw a section saying retro skinhead and walked over to it and browsed through the shirts that were hanging on the rails.
“Are you interested in any of the shirts or jeans?" A young man with his hair tied back asked Kai. “All this stuff is half the ticket price."
“Just looking at the moment," kai told the young man as he continued to browse the polo shirts before selecting a few polo shirts and a pair of bleached jeans and took them over to the counter.
“Do you have any braces that will go with these?" Kai asked the young man.
“I will just go and get some," the young man told Kai as he walked into the storeroom and came back out with a couple of pairs of braces. “The jeans are two for forty pounds," the young man told Kai as he scanned the barcode.
Kai waled back over to the jeans and selected another pair and walked back over to the young man.
“That will be One hundred and fifty pounds," the young man told Kai. “You have saved that plus a bit more as I have chucked the braces in free."
Kai took his bank card out of his wallet and inserted it into the card machine and punched his PIN in and waited for the transaction to be approved.
“All done for you," the young man said as the card machine printed out the receipt and placed the clothes in a bag before handing the bag to Kai.
“Kai thanked the young man and made his way back to the chalet and picked up a towel and his swim shorts before making his way to the swimming pool.

Kai made his way to the bar with the rest of the family and made his way to the bar with Peter where he saw Scott serving a customer.
“That tattoo sleeve Scott has had done on his lower arm up to his spider web looks well good," Kai said to Mark.
“Don’t even think about getting a tattoo until you are eighteen," Mark said to Kai. “The piercings are fine but no tattoos yet."
“Hey guys what can I get you?" Scott said as he walked over.
“Two pints of bitter, one glass of white wine and a gin and tonic," Mark said to Scott. “Alcohol free lager for you?" Mark asked Kai.
“Please," Kai replied. “That tattoo looks well good mate," Kai said to Scott.
“Get the top half-done next week," Scott told Kai as he poured the bitter.
“Pity I cannot get any ink done until next September," Kai sighed.
“Don’t even think about saying you know somebody that will do underage tattoos," Mark said to Scott.
“That is one thing I would not do sir," Scott told Mark. “I got the webs done on my eighteenth birthday."
“It will give me time to think on what tattoos I want done," Kai said to Scott. “Maybe design what I want."
“Do you fancy coming to see a couple of skinhead tribute bands tomorrow night?" Scott asked Kai. “They are playing in a pub in the town, and I will make sure that you get back home safely."
“Is that ok with you?" Kai asked Mark.
“As long as you do not get him drunk and get him inked I cannot see a problem with it," Mark replied.
“I will pick you up at the entrance to the holiday park at seven then," Scott told Kai as Mark paid for the drinks.
“Sweet as," Kai grinned. “I am going to see a couple of skinhead tribute bands tomorrow with Scott," Kai told the rest of the family as he put the tray of drinks on the table.
“Will be better than the entertainment they attempt to put on here," Peter said to Kai.
“Don’t get drunk and no tattoos," Sharon told Kai. “You can get some tattoos done next year when you hit eighteen."
“I am not that stupid," Kai grinned.

“Well, I guess this is goodbye," Kai said to Scott as he put his bag in the boot of the car ready to make the journey home. “I have enjoyed my time with you."
“You have my number and WhatsApp," Scott said to Kai. “Keep in touch and keep the skinhead faith brother."
“I will keep in touch with you, I promise," Kai replied. “I will keep the skinhead look, brother."
“You are welcome to visit me if you have any time off from your cookery course at college," Scott told Kai.
“You would be more than welcome to visit Kai and stay at our place if you would like that," Mark told Scott.
“I might keep you to that in the summer," Kai grinned as he got in the car and put his seatbelt on.
Kai waved goodbye to Scott as Mark pulled away from the chalet and started the journey home.
“I am glad I met Scott he has helped me a lot with discovering more about the skinhead culture," Kai said to Mark and Sharon.
“You certainly enjoyed his company," Kai’s mother replied. “If you want to visit him later in the summer you can."
“But don’t think of coming back with any tattoos," Mark told Kai.
“As if I would," Kai grinned. “I wonder what Dylan and the others will think when they see me with a shaved head and the ladder?"
“They will think that you have become more like them," Mark laughed. “Only Troy has not got the ear pierced."
“Might have to persuade him to get it done," Kai replied with a mischievous grin on his face. “I wonder what fashion boy has been doing?"
“We will find out in a few hours," Mark said to Kai. “Why he went so hostile over you going bald and getting your ear pierced god only knows."
