Reid part 2 by Bald K

Reid and his grandad walked into the queens pub and saw Luke sitting there with his mum and walked over.
"Good afternoon Mrs Chapman," Reid said. "Mind if we join you?"
"F*** man you have gone and got a skinhead like mine!" Luke exclaimed. "You look well good with the boots and braces!"
"Cheers mate," Reid said as he sat down next to Luke.
"Did you know that Luke was getting his head shaved?" Mrs Chapman asked Reid.
"I did not," Reid replied. "It all came about when he mentioned about joining the army as a junior and I jokingly said he would have to get a short haircut."
"That is when I decided to go and get the skinhead," Luke told his mother as Reid’s grandad walked over with a beer for himself and a coke for Reid.
"You are serious about joining the army as a junior?" Luke’s mum asked Luke.
"Yes, I have the forms, but you need to accompany me to the recruitment office to sign the consent form," Luke told his mother. "It will be my chance to prove to Kevin that I can make something of myself."
"Very well, arrange it and I will accompany you to the recruitment office and sign the consent form," Luke’s mum sighed. "Kevin has relented about your haircut, and you can come home now."
"I would rather stay with Reid if that is ok with his parents," Luke told his mother. "I have booked in to see the recruitment officer at two thirty this afternoon."
"You have certainly thought this through," Luke’s mother sighed. "I guess we had better get some lunch."
"I will have a ham baguette," Luke told his mum. "I hope your parents will let me stay with you if that’s ok," Luke said to Reid.
"I am sure it will be fine," Reid replied.
"Are you having any lunch my young skinhead?" Reid’s grandad asked Reid.
"Can I have the cheeseburger stack and curly fries please," Reid replied. "It will save me cooking as mum will not be home until gone seven."
"You certainly have an appetite," Reid’s grandad said as he went to order the food.

"How did your interview go?" Reid asked Luke as he walked into the lounge.
"Piece of p***, gave me a fitness routine to start," Luke replied. "Fancy keeping me company doing it?"
"Not much different to what we do now for the start of the routine," Reid said to Luke as he looked at the fitness routines. "How about starting at week three?"
"Yeah, we already run further than they recommend for week one and two," Luke replied.
"What else did you get told?" Reid asked Luke.
"The assessment is over two days in August," Luke told Reid. "If I am successful I join up mid-September."
"I will miss you," Reid said to Luke as he logged onto his Facebook page and uploaded a picture of him with his zero-crop skinhead. "See what comments I get about shaving my hair off."
"Looks like skinboy Harry want to connect with you via messenger," Luke told Reid.
"Hey Harry, how do you like my skinhead look?" Reid said as he saw Harry.
"I knew you would get it done," Harry grinned. "Who persuaded you to get it done?"
"My grandad got his old skinhead clothes out of his attic along with the boots," Reid told Harry. "We were chatting about it on Sunday, and I went over this morning."
"You mean you are wearing classic eighties skinhead gear?" Harry said to Reid. "Even the boots?"
"The works man even showed me some pictures of him with the one crop," Reid grinned. "He suggested I try the gear, and he done my boots for me."
"What about the haircut?" Harry asked Reid.
"Grandad asked if I was ready for the haircut, I told him that he was paying," Reid replied. "Went to Watson’s barber shop where my mate Luke who is here with me got his done yesterday."
"Nice to meet you mate," Harry said to Luke. "Did your grandad pay for the haircut?" Harry asked Reid.
"Sure did," Reid replied. "Mr Watson said he knew that I would be back for the zero crop like Luke had done."
"Get Luke round my place mate and get him listening to the music and dress him proper," Harry told Reid. "We can be the skinhead triplets."
"I would like that mate," Luke said to Harry. "I can look online for some stuff if I decide to get the complete look."
"I will take him to classic retro tomorrow," Reid told Harry. "What time are you back on Saturday?"
"I will be home late Friday evening, we will arrange a meet up for Saturday," Harry told Reid. "Better go we are off out to see a madness tribute band after a meal."
"Later mate," Reid said as Harry ended the facetime session.
"Are you up for going with the boots and braces?" Reid asked Luke.
"Probably, just see how it looks when I try on some of Harry’s stuff." Luke replied. "What is the plan for tonight?"
"Could do some FIFA if you are up for it," Reid suggested to Luke. "Got any ciggies on you?"
"Yeah, better go outside though," Luke replied as he took a packet out of his pocket.
"I will text my mum and ask her to get me twenty Benson’s on the way home," Reid told Luke as he got his phone out and sent a text to his mum.

Reid quietly left the house with his paper bag slung over his shoulder and lit a cigarette and made his way to the newsagents and saw Nigel the manager standing outside also smoking a cigarette.
"You certainly got your money’s worth with that haircut," Nigel said to Reid as he rubbed Reid’s head. "Suits you though."
"I have been getting into the skinhead scene since my new neighbour Harry got his shaved down and I mentioned about it to my grandad," Reid told Nigel. "Yesterday I went to see him, and he had got his old skinhead clothes and boots out and I tried them on, and he said all I needed was the haircut to complete the look."
"Which barber did you use?" Nigel asked Reid.
"Mr Watson, my grandad came with me for support and coughed up the cash for the skinhead," Reid told Nigel. "I really like the look to be honest."
"Before you do your paper round come into my office there is something I want to ask you," Nigel told Reid as he stubbed out his cigarette and walked into the shop.
"F*** what have I done wrong?" Reid thought to himself as he followed Nigel into his office and sat down.
"You are sixteen on Saturday, and I have a part time vacancy in the shop if you are interested in it." Nigel said to Reid. "It would be twenty-four hours per week over four shifts including a Saturday or a Sunday."
"I would like that, it would get me out of the rain," Reid replied. "When do you want me to start?"
"Next Monday at six in the morning," Nigel told Reid. "When you are at college I will arrange the shifts to fit in with your studies."
"Last week of walking the streets then," Reid laughed. "I will miss some of my customers though."
Reid walked out of the office and arranged the newspapers in order and placed them in his bag and walked out of the shop and felt the warm sun on his head as he set off to deliver the newspapers.

"I lost the bet then," Reid’s mother said as Reid walked in from doing his paper round. "You father bet me a twenty that you would be a skinhead when he got back from Scotland."
"Grandad paid for it," Reid grinned. "I have got his old clothes and boots now."
"You are planning on keeping the haircut then?" Reid’s mum asked Reid.
"Maybe grow it out a bit for winter," Reid replied. "Are you not working today?"
"I changed shifts with Angela to do the next three nights so I will be here for your birthday barbecue," Reid’s mum replied. "Morning Luke did you sleep ok?" Reid’s mum asked Luke.
"Yes thank you," Luke replied. "Thank you for letting me move in for a while."
"It is not a problem, you can keep Reid in check," Reid’s mum grinned.
"I have a new job," Reid told his mum and Luke. "I start working in the shop next Monday."
"Well done mate," Luke said to Reid.
"I am proud of you for getting a job," Reid’s mum said to Reid.
"It is only twenty-four hours a week and it will include either a Saturday or Sunday shift," Reid told his mum and Luke.
"I better start looking at work until I join the army junior section," Luke said as he put some bread in the toaster."
"The supermarket a couple of doors down from the newsagents are advertising for staff," Reid told Luke. "Maybe call in after we have had breakfast?"
"Yeah, I will do that," Reid said as he handed Reid the toast and put another couple of slices of bread in the toaster for himself."

Luke and Reid made their way to the supermarket where they saw the advert for part time staff and Luke walked in as Reid waited outside.
"Can I help you?" A lady asked Luke.
"I am enquiring about the part time job," Luke told the lady.
"I will just go and find the manager," the lady said to Luke.
"You are interested in the vacancy?" A man in his early thirties said to Luke as he walked over.
"I am looking for some work to tide me over until I join the army junior ranks if I pass my assessments," Luke told the gentleman.
"I have a couple to interview later this morning, are you free to come back at two this afternoon?" The man asked Luke.
"I will be here," Luke told the man. "See you at two."
"How did it go?" Reid asked Luke.
"I have an interview at two this afternoon," Luke told Reid.
"Planty of time to chill in Harry’s room and listen to some music and watch a DVD," Reid told Luke.
"Get me kitted out, see how I look in skinhead gear," Luke grinned as they made their way to Harry’s house and Reid opened the front door and they walked in.
"Woah, like Harry has some cool skinhead stuff in his wardrobe," Luke said as he looked through some shirts.
"This is only part of his stuff, he took loads with him to visit his cousin," Reid told Luke as he put a CD in the player and hit the play button.
"Like the tunes mate," Luke said as he selected a pale-yellow Fred Perry polo and a pair of black braces.
Luke stripped off his t-shirt and slipped the polo shirt on and Reid secured the braces onto Luke’s jeans before showing Luke how to tie the boots.
"Now you look like a skinhead," Reid told Luke. "You rock the look."
"Yeah, I do," Luke replied as he checked in the mirror at his reflection. "How do you think it would go down at the interview if I walked in dressed like this?"
"Be yourself, show them how you like to dress," Reid told Luke. "Not like you are going in with ripped jeans and scruffy trainers on."
"You think Harry will be ok if I borrow this stuff for my interview?" Luke asked Reid.
"Sure, now stop trying to talk yourself out of the job," Reid reassured Luke. "Just relax and listen to the tunes."
"I guess you are right," Luke sighed. "Just getting nervous on the interview."

"How did the interview go?" Reid as Luke as Luke walked into the lounge.
"Dan was impressed on how I came over," Luke replied. "He has a final person to interview and will let me know later today."
"We will both be working then," Reid said to Luke.
"Yeah I guess we will," Luke replied. "I have been thinking about visiting the barber again."
"Man, we got less than three mill of hair on our heads, why visit the barber again?" Reid asked Luke.
"How about taking it right to the bone? No hair at all left on our head?" Luke grinned.
"Are you serious about shaving it all off?" Reid replied with a grin on his face.
"Yeah man, I would love to see how it feels having no hair," Luke said. "Your mate Harry has a proper baldie."
"You’re on," Reid laughed. "I was thinking about getting a proper head shave, let me put my boots on."
Reid put his doc marten boots on and walked out of the house with Reid, and they were soon on the bus into town.
"You sure you want to do this?" Reid asked Luke as they arrived outside Watson’s barber shop.
"I am if you are," Luke replied as he pushed the door open and Reid walked in the shop behind Luke.
"Look who is back and I know exactly what you are going to tell me to," Mr Watson said as he folded his newspaper and got out of his chair. "You want to both want to try the cueball look."
"How did you know that we would be back for the shaved head?" Luke asked Mr Watson as he sat down in the chair.
"Quite a few that have had the zero-crop come back and ask what is like to have no hair." Mr Watson replied as he tucked a towel into Luke’s polo shirt before placing a piece of absorbent paper on the left shoulder before working up a good lather in his shaving bowl before spreading the hot shaving soap over Reid’s stubble before sharpening his straight razor on the leather strop.
Reid watched as Mr Watson expertly started to shave Luke’s stubble off his head with pink skin replacing the brown stubble.
"He certainly knows how to use the razor," Reid thought to himself as Mr Watson continued to shave Luke’s head.
"One cueball," Mr Watson said to Luke as he wiped the excess shaving soap off Luke’s head before getting a hot towel over Luke’s head for a few minutes before removing it and chucking it into a basket before spraying a soothing after shave lotion over Luke’s now smooth head. "You are next," Mr Watson said to Reid as Luke got out of the chair rubbing his bald head.
"If Luke and Harry can have shaved heads I am going to be the same," Reid thought as he confidently strode over to the chair and sat down looking at the black stubble on his head that would soon be history. "Let’s get it done then," Reid told Mr Watson.
"You said it," Mr Watson laughed as he tucked the towel into Reid’s polo shirt and placed the piece of absorbent paper on his left shoulder
"God I love the feel of the hot shaving soap on my head," Reid thought to himself as Mr Watson covered Reid’s stubble before sharpening the razor on the strop and started to shave the top of Reid’s head. "I think I am going to like being bald."
Reid smiled as he saw the black stubble on his head being replaced by pink skin and all to soon Reid felt the warmth of the hot towel on his shaved head before Mr Watson sprayed the soothing after shave lotion on his head.
"I love the bald look," Reid said to Luke and Mr Watson. "It feels awesome having no hair on my head."
"That is exactly what I thought," Luke said to Reid. "How much do we owe you for the shaves?"
"Give me a fiver each for this time," Mr Watson told Luke and Reid. "I will charge you the same if you come in for weekly shaves."
"Reckon that could be three of us as I reckon Harry will be up for keeping his head smooth," Reid told Mr Watson.
"Just one thing, Saturday would cost a bit more as I only do appointments that day," Mr Watson told Luke and Reid. "See you next week."
"We had better get some sunscreen, don’t want to get sunstroke Reid said to Luke as they walked out of Mr Watson’s barber shop.

"You went and done it then," Reid’s father said as he walked into the kitchen. "I had a hunch that when I got back I would have a skinhead as a son."
"Blame grandad for persuading me to try on his old skinhead clothes," Reid replied with a grin on his face. "He paid for the zero crop and then me and Luke decided on the chrome dome look the next day."
"I hear that you are staying with us," Reid’s father said to Luke. "I know Kevin likes to try and control you."
"I hope that it is ok with you," Luke said to George. "Hopefully come September I will be a junior in the army."
"You can stay here as long as you need to," George told Luke. "Have you two had your tea yet?"
"I was just about to go and get some fish and chips with the money mum left us," Reid told his father. "Do you want me to get you some?"
"That would be good," Reid’s father said as he handed over some money to Reid. "Your mother told me that you have both got part time jobs now."
"I start at six on Monday morning at the newsagents and Luke starts on Tuesday at the supermarket," Reid replied. "We won’t be long with the tea."
"That’s a relief with your dad saying I can stay," Luke said to Reid.
"It’s cool," Reid grinned as they walked into the fish and chip shop and got the food.

"That is my final paper delivery done and I got a few cards for my birthday of customers," Reid thought to himself as he threw the delivery bag into the cupboard.
"Happy birthday mate," Luke said to Reid as Reid walked into the kitchen. "Sorry it’s only a card but I will get you something when I get my first pay-packet."
"Cheers mate," Reid replied as he took the card off Luke.
"Your parents are waiting for you in the lounge," Luke told Reid.
"Happy birthday young man," Reid’s dad said as he handed him his birthday card and a large box.
"Great! My own pair of fourteen eyelet oxblood doc boots!" Reid exclaimed as he looked into the box.
"Your mother told me you had gone for the skinhead look and when I was with the coach party in Edinburgh I came across a doc marten shop and got them," Reids father grinned as he handed Reid some other presents.
"Ben Sherman and Fred Perry shirts and some braces to go with my new boots, you are the best," Reid told his parents. "Harry is going to be well p***ed off when he sees me in these."
"What are your plans today?" Reid’s mother asked. "Don’t forget the barbecue starts at five."
"Probably hang round the town with Harry and Luke and may do some gaming," Reid replied as Harry walked into the lounge.
"F*** are they proper doc oxbloods?" Harry said as he saw the boots. "You are going to look the dogs mate."
"When did you get the ears pierced?" Reid asked Harry as he saw a small silver ring in each ear.
"Yesterday before I came home," Harry replied.
"They look well good," Reid said as he touched his earlobe.
"Go on then, if you want your ears pierced just go and get it done," Reid’s mother said. "I can read you like a book."
"My father only had one ear pierced, go and get yours done," Reid’s father told Reid as he handed him some money.
"Let’s hit the town and do breakfast," Reid told Harry and Luke. "I will open the rest of my cards when I get back home."

"Right, that’s brekkie over with, let’s go and find a proper piercer to get your ears done," Harry said to Luke and Reid as he put his knife and fork on the plate. "Are you getting your ears done? Harry asked Luke.
"Better not, I have my army assessment in a few months, it would not be worth the money," Luke replied.
"I have found a place called punktured that does all body piercings, and the earlobes are twenty each," Reid said as he looked at his phone. "It is only a few doors up from where we got our heads shaved."
"Let’s get you done then," Harry said as they set off to punktured.
Harry, Luke, and Reid arrived at punktured, and Reid pushed the door open and walked in to see a young woman with tattoos and piercings sitting behind a desk.
"Do you have any slots available to get my ears pierced?" Reid asked the young lady.
"Come back in thirty minutes, Chloe can fit you in," the young lady said as she checked the appointment book. "What’s your name so I can book you in?"
"My name is Reid," Reid told they young lady.
"See you in thirty minutes then," the young lady told Reid.
"Let’s go and see Kerry at classic retro and see what his tattoo is like," Reid said to Harry and Luke. "Get Luke some classic skinhead stuff of his own,"
Harry, Luke, and Reid arrived at classic retro and walked in to see Kerry standing behind the counter in a sleeveless shirt showing his part finished Greek gods tattoo sleeve and his hair had been cut into a horseshoe flattop with about half an inch of hair left for the horseshoe.
"Bloody hell Reid, this time last week you had hair and typical teenager clothing," Keery said as he saw Reid standing there. "Where did you get the boots?"
"They were my grandad’s from when he was a skinhead back in the eighties," Reid told Kerry. "See you had a haircut as well as getting the tattoo started."
"Decided on a more psycho look with the haircut," Kerry told Reid. "Gary Watson is one of the last old school barbers that can do proper flattop haircuts."
"That is where me and Luke got our zero crop skinheads before we decided on the bald look," Reid told Kerry. "The tattoo is looking great."
"Getting the top part done a week on Wednesday with part of the Greek gods on my left chest," Kerry grinned. "Full day job that has cost me over a grand over the two sessions."
You doing anything when you finish work?" Reid asked Kerry. "I am having a birthday barbecue if you fancy coming over."
"I will come over after I finish here at five," Kerry told Reid. "You decided on your boots and clothes then?" Kerry said to Luke as Luke placed the clothes and boots on the counter.
"All I can afford at the moment," Luke replied. "Get more stuff when I get my first wages from the supermarket."
"That will be the three of us working as dad has got me hours in the pharmacy which include Saturday," Harry said to Luke and Reid. "Better make a move for your ears to get pierced," Harry said to Reid.
"That is my next thing, a ladder of silver or gold in my left ear," Kerry grinned as Luke paid for his clothes and boots. "See you just after five for the barbecue," Kerry told Reid.
Reid made his way back to punktured and walked in followed by Harry and Luke. Reid walked over to the counter and confirmed he was back for his ears to be pierced before sitting down and waited for Chloe to call him through.
"Reid?" A young lady asked as she opened the door to her studio.
"That’s me," Reid replied as he stood up and walked over to where Chloe was waiting for him.
"Come on through," Chloe said to Reid. "You are just after the single silver ring in each ear today?"
"That’s right," Reid replied as he sat down in the chair.
"What size are you looking at?" Chloe asked Reid as she showed Reid a range of silver earrings on the tray. "Standard are twenty for each ear the most expensive is the heavy silver at forty per ear.
"How much are these?" Reid asked Chloe as he pointed out slightly larger silver earrings.
"They are twenty-five each," Chloe told Reid.
"I will go for those then, if I decide on larger and heavier rings later I guess I can just replace these," Reid confidently told Chloe.
"The one mill ring a good choice that will stand out with your shaved head," Chloe told Reid. "Ready to get started?"
"Get it done," Reid replied confidently.
Reid felt the coldness of an antiseptic wipe cleanse his earlobes before Chloe marked out where the earrings would go in Reid’s earlobes. "Reid saw Chloe put a pair of latex gloves on before she removed the piercing needle from it protective wrapper and get the silver rings out of the sealed packet.
"Here goes the next stage of my skinhead look," Reid thought to himself as he felt Chloe push the needle through his left earlobe and securing the silver earring. Chloe then repeated the piercing in his right ear.
"How does that look?" Chloe asked Reid as she showed Reid the earring now secured in his earlobes in a small mirror. "You will need to use surgical spirit on the ears to stop infection and move them around to stop them setting in."
"Looks perfect, I will get some surgical spirit when I leave here," Reid replied with a smile on his face. "Just how I imagined it would look."
Reid walked out of Chloe’s studio with her and paid for the piercings before walking over to where Harry and Luke were waiting for him.
"What do you guys think?" Reid asked Harry and Luke.
"You look a proper skinhead boy now," Harry grinned.
"Yeah, they look good I wish I could have got mine done but it would not have been worth the cost," Luke said to Reid as they walked out of the piercing studio.
"Well, the skinhead twins have become the skinhead triplets," Mr Watson said as he stood outside his shop smoking a cigarette. "Fancy a quick head shave on the house as my client has cancelled at the last moment for his two boys?"
"Nothing else on until my birthday barbecue," Reid said to Mr Watson. "You two up for a freshen up?"
"You bet I am especially as it is a freebie," Luke replied. "Been a few days since we became bald brothers."
"See you have gone for the rings in the ear," Mr Watson said to Reid. "Completes the look really well."
"Yeah, I like them," Reid replied.
Harry, Luke, and Reid followed Mr Watson into his shop and Reid walked over to the chair and made himself comfortable as Mr Watson tucked the towel into Reid’s polo shirt and placed a piece of absorbent paper on his left shoulder before working up a lather in his shaving bowl and spreading a thick layer of shaving soap over the stubble that had grown on Reid’s head before sharpening his razor on the leather strop and started to carefully shave Reid’s head again.
"Never had a head shave in a barber shop," Harry said to Luke. "Me and my cousin done ours in his bathroom.
"You are in for a treat then," Luke told Harry as Mr Watson wiped Reid’s head before wrapping a hot towel around Reid’s head leaving it on for a few minutes.
"Thanks Mr Watson," Reid said as he stood up and rubbed his bald head before sitting next to Luke as Harry made his way to the chair and sat down.
"Looks like you have a bit more hair than Luke and Reid," Mr Watson said to Harry as he applied the hot shaving soap over Harry’s stubble.
"Got it shaved by my cousin in the week," Harry told Mr Watson. "First time by a barber."
Harry relaxed as Mr Watson started to shave the stubble off his head and enjoyed the feeling of the hot towel on his head before Mr Watson removed the towel and sprayed a cooling after shave spray over his head.
"Thanks, I really enjoyed that," Harry said to Mr Watson as he stood up and sat next to Reid as Luke walked over and sat down in the chair.
After about ten minutes Luke got out of the chair and walked back over to where Harry and Reid were sitting, The three of them thanked Mr Watson and promised that they would be returning soon for a freshen up.

Harry, Luke, and Reid left GameZone and made their way back to Reid’s house for his birthday barbecue.
"Oh Great, my boring vegan cousin Jack is here," Reid sighed as they walked round to the back garden where Reid’s father was setting up the barbecue. "I bet he has bought his own food and frying pan to cook his vegan c*** food."
"I guess you do not get on with him then?" harry said to Reid.
"He is a boring drip; his hair is cut in a nondescript style. He has Harry Potter glasses and just does f*** all," Reid said to Harry and Luke. "That’s him sitting there reading a book," Reid said as he pointed out Jack to Harry and Luke.
"So, my grandson has gone chrome dome," Reid’s grandad said as he walked over to where Reid was standing. "Looks better than when I took you for the zero and the earrings look good."
"Thanks grandad, these are my mates Harry and Luke."
"The bald triplets," Reid’s grandad laughed. "Good to meet you," Reid’s grandad said to Harry and Luke.
"Thanks for the birthday money," Reid said as he opened his card from his grandparents.
"You are welcome," Reid’s nan said. "I hear you have got a new job."
"I start on Monday working behind the counter at McColls," Reid replied. "Minimum of twenty-four hours a week spread over four days."
"I see you have got a new pair of boots," Reid’s grandad grinned. "You are embracing the skinhead look really well."
"What have you done to yourself?" Reid’s uncle James said as he walked over. "You look like a thug."
"What? Just because I have decided to become a skinhead you think I am a thug?" Reid said to James. "I am my own person, at least I have the guts to try a new look unlike Jack."
"What do you mean by that?" James asked Reid.
"Look at him, when was the last time he tried some new haircut? I bet he still goes to see Alfie and gets his hair trimmed so he looks like a boring f***," Reid replied. "I bet he has bought his own vegan c*** to eat and cook it in his own pan."
"What is going on here?" Reid’s father asked James and Reid.
"Your brother-in-law thinks I look like a thug with my shaved head," Reid told his father.
"Reid is his own person, he has decided to take on the skinhead look it is his choice," Reid’s father told James. "He is sixteen now he makes his own choices."
"You are happy to have a skinhead as a son it is your choice but when the police call and say he has been arrested for assaulting somebody," James replied. "Unlike my boy Jack."
"Oh yes, boring Jack, when was the last time he actually went out with his mates? Oh, hang on he has none," Reid’s father sneered. "Reid has his mates, and he has got a job at the newsagents now."
"If Reid were my son he would have been told to pack his bags and find somewhere else to live," James told Reid’s father.
"Reid is not your son, he is my son and whatever look he wants he can have," Reid’s father said to James before walking off."
"Your uncle is a bit of a p****," Luke said to Reid. "And Jack is a real bore."
"Happy birthday Reid," Chris said as he walked over. "How do you fancy seeing a madness tribute band with me and Harry tomorrow night?"
"I would love to," Reid said to Chris. "How much are the tickets?"
"Call it a birthday present from Harry," Chris replied. "Pick you up at seven tomorrow night."
"Hey, harry, guess who is coming to see a madness tribute act with you tomorrow," Reid said as Harry walked over with Luke.
"Nice one mate, you will love badness," Harry told Reid. "They are a top tribute band."
"Room for me to tag along?" Luke asked Harry.
"Yeah man, get yourself a ticket plenty of room in the car," Harry told Luke.
"Great," Luke said as he got his phone out and found the website to book himself a ticket. "All done, nearly a sell out," Luke said as he booked his ticket.
"Shave the domes round mine tomorrow before we go?" Harry suggested. "Got to look the part for the gig."
"Sounds good," Reid grinned as they opened another beer.
"My cousin thinks he looks hard now as he drinks beer, smokes cigarettes, and got the skinhead look," Jack said as he got himself a bottle of fruit juice out of the icebox.
"Better look than you have got," Reid replied. "How much gel do you put on your pathetic haircut to keep it in place."
"Enough," Jack said as he walked into the kitchen and got himself a bag of vegan crisps out of his bag before sitting down in the corner of the garden and picked up his book.
