Today’s the day this long mess is getting restyled
Jim thought to himself
He’d had a shave last night 2 months beard gone time for the locks to be trimmed
How short he thought ? Just a trim maybe a bit more
Jokingly he told his wife he was getting skinned
She just smiled knowing Jim would come back with his shoulder length hair maybe an inch shorter
Jim drove around looking for a hairstylist barber in a shop who could give him secret wish to be cropped severely
Jim entered one shop just as Barberette was caping up an older man
" What time you close ? He asked the heavily made up hairdresser
If 4.45 she replied

Jim drove around a bit more stopping outside a barbers he hadn’t been in a few years
Then it was owned by an old fashioned barber alongside 2 female assistants who didn’t mess around if you asked for a trim it was a very short trim
However the decor was new stylish and the Barberette he could see looked sexy with a cheeky little bob giving a young guy a fashionable triim
Ok I’ll let her cut my hair for sure
Jim entered the shop the Barberette Lisa looked up and smiled
" Take a seat won’t be long "
Before Jim had a chance to sit in the waiting area a door at the back opened and there was one of the original Barberette standing there
"Sit up here love I’ll get you sorted "
Jim sat down was caped up
"Right then what are we doing today ?rita the Barberette asked
Jim bit his lip and thought right here’s my chance
"A lot shorter please "
Oh ok I don’t want to cut too much in case you don’t like it she replied

Rita sprayed his hair then tried to de tangle his locks
Jim embarrassed said that’s why I want it cutting
Rita managed to get rid of the tangles then got stuck into Jim’s locks
Soon the cape was full Jim’s head felt lighter

Jim couldn’t resist I was thinking of a flat top next time I come here
Rita took control clippers were mowing the sides tight then cutting a flat top shape
I like doing flat tops she said
Jim said Howabout a crew cut ?
You’d be better with a flat top as she carried on
Rita brushed Jim’s hair back

Jim viewed the back it was short very short never had his hair been that short

Small balding clippers were placed on Jim’s neck
Rita proceeded to give him a high shaved back and sides
She then put some wax into his hair and gave him the flat top he secretly wished for

Next time I’ll have a crew cut he said

When he walked into the living room at home
