Haircut debate by Barbershop memmories While I understand that some people might be concerned that stories involving minors are posted on a fetish site, I disagree with the assumption that the motivation of the authors/readers is necessarily sexual. In most cases, the haircut fetish manifests itself as a result of some specific experiences and dynamics during childhood. A common example of that would be being getting an unwanted haircut or witnessing someone else get it. It is not a coincidence that there are that many stories with these elements - these are experiences that most of us have gone through and some decide to share them hoping to connect with others who might have experienced similar things. I agree that things are getting better for young people, but I fear we still have a long way to go. I know of two young people who were recently kicked out of their homes because they came out. I am helping one of them out, as much as I can. Fortunately, the other one had extended family that is helping him, but that doesn't erase the pain he is experiencing from his core family.

On an optimistic note, if I am correct, I think the attitudes and feelings of both father and son are not now so prevelent as they may have been over the past eighty years in the US etc. Self-acceptance is essential to a balanced, fulfilled existence while empathy remains a main goal for humanity.
