Getting Into It by A Recruit I don’t know why so many guys have such negative connotations about being bald. Once you shave your head and get over other people’s initial reactions (I only had one or two negative ones. A few asked why it took me so long!) you will discover how much easier it is. You can throw the mousse, gels, hairbrushes and combs in the trash! No more worries about making haircut appointments: you are now the barber. You will save lots of money. No more bad hair days, now just hair days when you’ve not shaved it in a few days. Some guys shave once a week. For me, I can’t go more than a couple days. I generally shave my head every day. I love being able to rub my hands over my head and feeling only smooth skin! Once you get used to it, you will wonder why you didn’t shave it sooner.

Short hair represented everything we hated about the repressive, hypocritical attitudes of the previous generation. I'll Give You a Haircut , Come On! by Nathan I don’t know why guys are so afraid of getting their heads shaved. I admit, I too was nervous about getting my head shaved back in the late 90’s when you rarely saw white bald guys. I kept cutting my hair shorter and shorter and always knew that eventually I would keep my head shaved completely bald. I was so nervous for people’s reactions the first time that I didn’t enjoy it. Now, I see baldies everywhere. It’s awesome! I see so many guys who would just look average if not for the shaved head. Then I see others who really need to get their heads shaved but don’t. Even my husband sees them and comments how much better they would look shaved smooth. Love seeing random stories like this.
Funny for me now, reading this story I think he’s only gone part way. The only truly good bald head is shaved smooth with a razor. If I feel even the slightest bit of stubble, I don’t feel truly bald. For me, I want to run my hand over my head and feel only smooth skin! by Pauldy on 20 Mar 2026

Seems to me he needed a haircut, had to be pushed into the barbers, dragged his feet when instructed to sit in the chair then was clearly told he was to be smartened up.
